Moving Flint Forward
Application Process

New in 2024, we have partnered with the company Foundant to streamline the application process using the software Grant Lifecycle Manager. This software will be your personalized portal for the application and reporting process that will be used for the entirety of your grant.

Please follow the instructions below to begin your application for Moving Flint Forward. Technical assistance will be provided to assist with the grant application process, implementation, and tracking of grant activities to ensure requirements are met and businesses are using funds appropriately.

  1. Access the Moving Flint Forward application site.
  2. Create your unique and individual profile using the “Create New Account” button.
  3. Access the Moving Flint Forward 2024 application from available opportunities.
  4. Determine eligibility by answering our LOI questions. You will receive an email that confirms you have submitted/completed the LOI section.
  5. Complete application. Once you have submitted your LOI and it is approved by staff, you will receive another email that invites you to complete the full application. You will need to answer and submit the following:
    • Description of Business
    • Statement of Need
    • Detailed of use of funds or proposed budget showing amount requested
    • Business Finance Statement – MFF is a reimbursable grant and the business should be able to pay for items first before receiving grant funds. We have requested a Business Bank Account statement or Business Credit Card statement showing a minimum of $3,000 available to implement the grant.
    • A business plan
    • Up to three professional or industry references.
  6. Completed online applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024.
