Flint & Genesee’s infrastructure surpasses most regions of its size. The county is well positioned to support growth with our strong network of transportation assets. Flint & Genesee is home to Bishop International Airport (Michigan’s 3rd largest) that handles more than 28.3 million pounds of freight annually and 700 thousand plus commercial passengers. The county also has two major highways (I-69 and I-75), as well as two rail corridors (CSX and CN).

Flint & Genesee is part of the 11-county Detroit Region and is within a short drive to some of North America’s largest markets. The county is also a convenient distance to the Blue Water Bridge that carries international traffic between Port Huron, Michigan and Sarnia, Ontario.
